The mission of the Sierra High School Staff is to increase student achievement through the analysis of student data and the assessment of our instructional practices. We will work collaboratively with our community to assist in creating self-directed learners.
Educating Children of Color Summit:

Held on 1-11-14 at Colorado College from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Juniors and Seniors, scholarship opportunities have been posted online, and only 4 people have indicated an interest! There are 6 opportunities to win scholarships online, but the deadline is 12-15-13.
The Summit is a fun and inspiring way to learn about college and career opportunities and...to win scholarships and laptops. Over the course of the last 6 years we have awarded $61,000 in scholarship money and 56 laptops to students in attendance at the event. High School youth of every color are invited and attendance is free, but you must register by 12-15-13. In addition to the scholarships posted online, we will be giving away $500 educational gifts throughout the day of the Summit.
Our goal for 2014 is to reach 500 professionals, 500 students, and their parents. Attendance for students and parents is free. Registration for professionals is $25. The Summit has been approved by Adams State for .5 a graduate credit for an additional $27.50. It is also approved for 8 contact hours, 7 CLEs and 8 Cornerstone credits.

Don't forget to get your parent portal ID for Infinite Campus (IC)/Parent Portal when you visit your child's school. In IC you can view your child's attendance, schedule, grades (participating schools) and more. Once you have your parent portal ID please follow the below instructions when logging in for the first time.
New for this school year the district will use IC to send out text message alerts for closures, delays and emergencies. Please verify in IC, using your parent portal login that your mobile number is correct. If your number has changed, please see your school's registrar to update your mobile number.
To Opt-Out of text message alerts for closures, delays and emergencies:
- Log in to IC/Parent Portal: https://campus.hsd2.org/campus/portal/harrison.jsp
- Click on Contact Preferences
- Uncheck the Text (SMS) checkbox on the telephone number that you wish to remove
- Click Save
